Circuit of The Americas Race Review and Analysis

  Taking a trip to the Lonestar state! The Nascar Cup Series visited the Circuit of The Americas located in Austin, Texas for a showdown! This race put on a show as the first road course event is in the books. Ross Chastain in an unbelievable way takes home the checkered flag! This is Chastain’s first career win and first in Trackhouse Racing’s history. Chastain is now locked into the playoffs. The Trackhouse #1 car will join Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Chase Briscoe, and William Byron in the playoffs.  (Ross Chastain burning it down post-race) With 3 laps to go, Ross Chastain, A.J. Allmendinger, and Alex Bowman battled it out. Clashing in the final laps Allmendinger surged ahead of Chastain heading into turn 19. The three made contact as Chastain connected to the back bumper of Allmendinger. Atlanta Race Review and Analysis

  Racing in the peach state! The Nascar Cup Series visited Atlanta Motor Speedway located in Hampton, Georgia. This reconfigured race track put on quite the show. In a nail-biter, William Byron takes home the checkered flag! This is Byron’s 3rd career win and first of the 2022 season. Byron is now the fifth different winner in 5 races and now locks himself into the Nascar playoffs. The 5th year driver now joins Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, and Chase Briscoe as the first few drivers who are in the playoff field come September. Lastly, all but one Hendrick Motorsports driver is currently not locked into the playoffs as three are, that driver is Chase Elliott.                 (William Byron post-race) After a late race caution, with 20 laps to go, William Byron was leading the field. Fuel became a concern as the sun started to set. Byron held off the hard charging Bubba Wallace, Ryan Blaney, and Daniel Saurez throughout the closing laps. With an aggressive move, Ross Chastain

  Racing in the desert! The Nascar Cup Series visited Phoenix Raceway located in Avondale, Arizona for the “Ruoff Mortgage 500”! In a stunner, Chase Briscoe takes home the checkered flag and collects his first win in his career. This ends the struggling period for Stewart Haas Racing and gives them a shot in the arm heading to Atlanta next weekend. Chase Briscoe is now the 200th driver to win in the Nascar Cup Series. Briscoe now joins Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, and Alex Bowman as the only drivers currently locked into the playoffs.  ( Chase Briscoe burning it down post-race) Once again a caution came in the closing laps, which created a turning point in the race. Erik Jones in now two consecutive races was one of the drivers to bring out the caution. This ultimately brought all drivers down pit road one last time which set up today’s conclusion.   Racing in Sin city! The Nascar Cup Series visited Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the "Pennzoil 400". Located a little bit outside of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, this race put on quite a show. In a wild and eventful way, Alex Bowman takes home the checkered flag. This is Bowman’s 7th career win and first of the 2022 season. Bowman now joins Austin Cindric and Kyle Larson as the only drivers currently locked into the playoffs.  (Alex Bowman headlining post Las Vegas) During today’s race, a lot of things happened. New teams were upfront, tire issues, pit road strategies, and a wild overtime finish. To start this run down, Trackhouse Racing showed great flashes today. Ross Chastain had a career day by leading 83 laps out of the 267 total. Chastain was a force to be wreckin' with all afternoon as he consistently battled for the lead.
