2022 Coca-Cola 600 Race Review

  The Coca-Cola 600! The Nascar Cup Series made a stop  at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.   Denny Hamlin wins the Coca-Cola 600 in a long battle at  Charlotte Motor Speedway. This is Hamlin’s 2nd win of  the 2022 season, and the 48th of his career. In his 18-year  career, this is Hamlin’s first time being crowned the winner  of the Coca-Cola 600. (Denny Hamlin in Victory Lane) This was the longest Nascar Cup Series race in history.  This race went five hours and 13 minutes, which is insane.  This race was a wild 600-mile event, cautions, new faces up front and a sold-out crowd watched it unfold.  Coming to the white flag in the 1st overtime, Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain led the field to the green flag.  They battled side by side until Austin Dillon with a power move, dived to the inside.  Dillon, Hamlin, Larson, and Chastain were four-wide coming to the white flag.  Kyle Larson spun Austin Dillon, causing a huge pile coming to the white flag.  A second resta

Kansas Race Review and Analysis

  Racing in the sunflower state!  The Nascar Cup Series visited the heartland state of Kansas City, Kansas at Kansas Speedway.  Kurt Busch in the Jordan Brand car takes home the checkered flag!  This is Busch’s 34th career win and first of the 2022 season.  Along with this, 23XI Racing picked up their second win as an organization, this is the first win with the #45 car.  Kurt Busch joins Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Chase Briscoe, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Elliott as the locked-in drivers for the playoffs.  (Kurt Busch Post Race) Coming into today, 23XI Racing was fluctuating performance wise.  From pit road mishaps to promising days that lead to an unfortunate ending, and to just bad luck overall, this 2022 season has been rough.  This afternoon at Kansas Speedway this second year team finally broke through for their first win of 2022.  A major rebound for Kurt Busch as he came into today 21st in points after not finishing better than 16th in

Darlington Race Review and Analysis

  Mother’s Day!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Darlington Raceway for throwback weekend!  Located in Darlington, South Carolina, this track put on a thriller.  In an aggressive way, Joey Logano takes home the checkered flag on Mother’s Day.  This is Logano’s 28th career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  Logano joins Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Chase Briscoe, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, and Chase Elliott in the playoffs.  (Joey Logano in Victory Lane) In the closing laps, Joey Logano inched closer and closer to race leader William Byron.  With 2 laps to go Logano got to the back bumper of William Byron, heading into the corner, Logano sent Byron high into the wall.  Logano then captured the lead as he rode off to the checkered flag.  Joey Logano is a well known aggressive driver, his career has been filled with moments like this today.  Many say this move was dirty and over the top, Byron went on to finish 13th due to contact with the wall.  Joey Logano and Wil

Dover Race Review and Analysis

  Racing on a Monday at the monster mile!  The Nascar Cup Series made a trip to Dover Motor Speedway for the DuraMAX Drydene 400.  Located in Dover, Delaware, this 1-mile concrete track displayed a unique race.  Chase Elliott takes home the checkered flag after an intriguing Monday afternoon of racing.  This is Elliott’s 14th career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  Elliott is now the 9th driver to stamp his ticket into the Nascar playoffs.  He joins Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, Kyle Busch, and William Byron as the only drivers locked in so far. A lot of fans had to make the trip home after not even seeing a third of Sunday’s race.
