Nashville Race Review and Analysis

  Racing in music city!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Nashville Superspeedway for a Sunday showdown!  After a long fought race, Chase Elliott takes home the checkered flag!  This is Elliott’s 2nd win of the 2022 season and the 15th of his career.  Chase Elliott joins Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, William Byron, and Ross Chastain as the only drivers with two wins in the season.  (Chase Elliott with the Checkered Flag) The weather was a huge issue in today’s race.  This weekend was hot in Nashville, majority of the weekend the temperature stayed around 90 to 100 degrees.  The race cars were even hotter, as AJ Allmedinger's #16 machine read 111 degrees inside the car.  94 degrees was the temperature at Nashville Superspeedway when the race started at 5:00pm ET.  A lightning delay came when a lighting strike hit within an 8-mile radius of the track.  The Delay was about an hour after drivers climbed back into their racecars.  Martin Truex Jr. won both the first and second stages.  Truex

Sonoma Race Review and Analysis

  Racing in wine country!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Sonoma Raceway, located in Sonoma, California for a road course race weekend.  Daniel Suarez takes home the checkered flag here today in Sonoma.  This is Suarez’s first career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  The 6th-year driver is the 12th different winner in the 2022 season.  (Daniel Suarez Post Race) Coming into today, this was officially the last race before we head into the summer season in Nascar.  Daniel Suarez, who is a teammate to Ross Chastain, was the only winless driver at Trackhouse Racing.  Chastain has won twice, to now Suarez’s one after Sonoma.  Daniel Suarez was below the cutline coming into this afternoon, today he leaves wine country above it with a chance for the championship this fall.  Daniel Suarez held off Chris Buescher in the final stretch of today’s race to top off a stellar performance.  Suarez becomes the first driver out of Monterrey, Mexico to win a race in the Nascar Cup Series.  Let’s rewind to s

World Wide Technology Raceway(Gateway) Race Review

  Racing in St. Louis!  The Nascar Cup Series visited World Wide Technology Raceway, famously known as “Gateway” for a showdown!  This was the first time ever, that the Nascar Cup Series has raced in St. Louis.  Joey Logano takes home the checkered flag in a nail-biting way.  Logano picks up his 2nd win of the season and 29th of his career.  Logano joins William Byron, Denny Hamlin, and Ross Chastain as the only multiple winners this season.  (Joey Logano Post-Race) With a caution for Kevin Harvick coming in the closing laps, we saw another overtime finish.  Joey Logano and Kyle Busch restarted side by side until Logano got around the #18 and cruised to the checkered flag.  Kurt Busch, the older brother to Kyle Busch finished 3rd, followed by Ryan Blaney in 4th.  Team Penske unloaded very good heading into practice and qualifying as it certainly showed today.  Joey Logano was first in everything besides qualifying on Saturday.  Temper’s flared throughout today’s race between Ross Chast
