Regular Season Finale at Daytona Race Review and Analysis

  Chaos in Daytona Beach!  The Nascar Cup Series made its highly anticipated visit to Daytona International Speedway.  Two spots were left, as playoff implications were on the line.  Austin Dillon walks it off at Daytona, he takes home the checkered flag at the world center of racing.  Dillon captures his 1st win of the 2022 season, which is the 4th of his career.  Austin Dillon will be the 16th driver in the 2022 Nascar playoff field.  (Austin Dillon with the Trophy) Heading into today, it wasn’t a given.  Rain was the factor all weekend long.  Both qualifying sessions for the Xfinity and Cup Series were canceled due to rain on Friday.  The Xfinity Series race didn’t start until 10:30pm ET on Friday night after a washout for most of the day.  Saturday night is when the Cup race was supposed to take place at 7:00pm ET.  With rain cells in the area, this postponed the Cup Series event until 10:00am ET this morning.  The Flordia rain wasn’t done as we saw a three-hour, and 19-minute weat

Watkins Glen Race Review and Analysis

  Going bowling at the Glen!  The Nascar Cup Series made its yearly stop at Watkins Glen International.  Even with all the pivots today, Kyle Larson takes home the checkered flag.  Kyle Larson collects his 2nd win of 2022, he also sweeps the weekend with a win yesterday in the Xfinity race.  Larson collects his 18th career win in the Nascar Cup Series and wins back-to-back races in 2021, and now 2022 at Watkins Glen.   (Kyle Larson taking the Victory) Kyle Larson entering turn 1, locked up his right front tire, which led him to use all of the runoff exit.  Larson ushered teammate Chase Elliott up the track, causing Elliott to lose multiple positions.  Larson continued to escape from the rest of the pack.  A.J. Allmendinger tried his hardest to get near Larson’s rear bumper but he couldn’t get the job done.  Allmendinger for Kaulig Racing settled for 2nd.  Larson rode off into the Upstate, New York sunset to capture the checkered flag.  Kyle Larson picked up his 4th career win on a road

Richmond 2 Race Review and Analysis

  They call him Happy Harvick for a reason!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Richmond Raceway, located in Richmond, Virginia for a showdown.  In back-to-back races for the first time since 2020, Kevin Harvick takes home the checkered flag. This is Harvick’s 2nd win of the 2022 season and the 60th of his career.  Harvick now is tied with Kyle Busch for the 9th most wins of all time at 60.  Harvick won at Richmond Raceway for the first time since 2013.  This is also Harvick’s 29th win since he turned 40 years old. This is the 3rd win in total for Stewart-Haas Racing in the 2022 season. (Kevin Harvick in front of the Richmond Crowd) Let’s go through today’s race.  Ross Chastain dominated the first stage.  Chastain led 79 laps in stage 1, but 80 in total throughout today’s race.  Chastain faded back in the field, as he spun Kyle Busch exiting turns 3 and 4.  Chastain qualified 2nd on Saturday and finished 18th this afternoon.  Erik Jones was collected in this wreck, he broke a toe-link as a

Michigan Race Review and Analysis

  Built Ford Tough!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Michigan International Speedway for a nail-biting 23rd race of the 2022 season.  The drought is over, and the 65-race winless streak is over!  Kevin Harvick takes home the checkered flag in Michigan!  This is Harvick’s 58th career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  Harvick now staples his name into the playoff field as number 15 out of the 16 spots.  (Kevin Harvick in front of the crowd) In a ground-shaking way, Kevin Harvick in crunch time wins at Michigan.  Prior to today, Harvick hasn’t won since September 19th, 2020 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Since that victorious day, it has been a long, vigorous, and frustrating year and a half for the 22-year Cup Series veteran.  The weight of not winning a race is finally off of Harvick’s shoulders heading into Richmond.  Harvick now passes the spotlight to Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex Jr., Aric Almirola, Erik Jones, Bubba Wallace, and Austin Dillon for the battle for the final playoff spot.  Harvic
