The high banks of Lincoln, Alabama, is where the Nascar Cup Series visited Talladega Superspeedway for the Geico 500! Kyle Busch in the right place at the right time, took home the checkered flag in a thrilling final overtime restart.  This is Busch’s 62nd career win and the 2nd of the 2023 season.  The 37-year old collected his first superspeedway win at Talladega since 2008, now in his 10th race for Richard Childress Racing. Busch joins William Byron, and Kyle Larson as the only drivers with multiple wins locked into the playoffs. (Kyle Busch in Victory Lane) A late race caution, something all teams, drivers, and fans were anticipating finally occurred with under 6 laps to go, prompting an overtime restart.  The two childhood best friends of Bubba Wallace, and Ryan Blaney battled it out, until a late third block by Wallace on Blaney, prompted his #23 to go for a ride, spinning out of the lead, and handing Busch the win.   The Nascar Cup Series NOCO 400 ended Sunday evening, after a weekend full of close quarter short track racing.  Ridgeway, Virginia is where Kyle Larson took home the checkered flag, for his 2nd win of the 2023 season, and the 21st of his career.  The 30-year old joins Hendrick Motorsports teammate William Byron, as the only two drivers with multiple wins in the ‘23 season.  Today’s event provided more of the historic, and famed racing that Martinsville Speedway provides twice a year. Larson, after taking two tires on the final pit stop, was able to clip a victory to his performance at the paperclip track, after 400 laps. After running outside of the top-10 for majority of the race, one key pit stop late in the race leveraged Larson away from Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr., and Denny Hamlin. (Kyle Larson On-Track) Leaving Virginia on a high note is Larson, collecting the prestigious grandfather clock for the first time in Martinsville.  Joey Logano finishes 2nd for Team Penske, along

Dirt racing on Easter Sunday! The Nascar Cup Series visited Bristol Motor Speedway on dirt, for the third year in a row, and the second consecutive year on Easter.  Christopher Bell took home the checkered flag, this is his 1st win of the 2023 season, and the 5th of his career.  The 28-year old joins Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, William Byron, Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, and Kyle Larson as the only drivers locked into the playoffs.  (Christopher Bell On-Track at Bristol) Entering the weekend, the goal of a non-weather impacted event came to fruition as all 250 laps were run without a single raindrop, which is something foreign to spring races at Bristol.  Bell was able to capture the Bristol sword, and plant it in the Tennessee dirt, after running the high line, with the track widening out in the final stage by leading 100 laps.   The Norman, Oklahoma native's victory didn't come without his background, and knowledge of dirt racing growing up in the sooner state, to hold

The Commonwealth of Virginia!  The Nascar Cup Series kicked off the month of April with a traditional visit to Richmond Raceway to progress in the spring portion of the schedule.  Kyle Larson took home the checkered flag in savvy fashion for Hendrick Motorsports, and also on what would've been historic team owner Ricky Hendrick’s 43rd birthday. Larson collects the 20th win of his career, his  2nd at Richmond, and 1st of the 2023 season.  The 30-year old joins Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, William Byron, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick as the only drivers locked into the playoffs.   The ¾ of a mile short track is classified as premier short track racing, today displayed with tire wear, difficulty passing, and long-run crew chief strategies.  Larson ran a stellar race by leading 93 laps, as crew chief Cliff Daniels called a good race from the pit box, prompting the #5 team for success, which was the key to victory.  (Kyle Larson in Victory Lane) Riding momentum entering Bristol
