“Daytona Road Course Race Review”
The Nascar Cup Series raced at the “ Daytona Road course” t his weekend resulting in some controversial topics. 26 year old Christopher Bell won last night in a switch of the lead, coming to the final laps of the “O’ Reilly Auto parts 253” race at Daytona. Last night's event ended in a shocker when a quick pop up shower hit the track. This resulted in Nascar officials throwing the caution in the closing laps because of rain. Because of that, drivers and teams had the option to put on rain tires or slicks. Rain tires are better in the rain and wet conditions for one safety reason and also handling and controlling the car. Slicks( Regular standard tires) are normally used for regular conditions and no moisture in the track. Drivers and teams elected to keep the slicks on which led to the “sprint to the finish” type of ending to the race.
