“Daytona Road Course Race Review”

The Nascar Cup Series raced at the “ Daytona Road course” this weekend resulting in some controversial topics. 26 year old Christopher Bell won last night in a switch of the lead, coming to the final laps of the “O’ Reilly Auto parts 253” race at Daytona. Last night's event ended in a shocker when a quick pop up shower hit the track. This resulted in Nascar officials throwing the caution in the closing laps because of rain. Because of that, drivers and teams had  the option to put on rain tires or slicks. Rain tires are better in the rain and wet conditions for one safety reason and also handling and controlling the car. Slicks( Regular standard tires) are normally used for regular conditions and no moisture in the track. Drivers and teams elected to keep the slicks on which led to the “sprint to the finish” type of ending to the race.  Which resulted in Christopher Bell taking the lead from fellow competitor Joey Logano to end the race.

In a great way to snag his first career win Christopher Bell is crowned the daytona road course champ. But not for long until the Cup Series turns around, as they head for Homestead Miami Speedway https://www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com/ for the “ Dixie Vodka 400” Sunday at 3:30 eastern, only on FOX.
