"New Hampshire Race Review"

 



The Magic Mile! The Nascar Cup Series visited New Hampshire Motor Speedway, located in Loudon, New Hampshire for the “Foxwoods Resort Casino 301”. Today was crazy, from an upset alert, to threatening weather, to driver complaints and new offseason moves. The Nascar Cup Series finally wraps up there day in New Hampshire. In a nail biter, Aric Amirola wins today, this is huge. Almirola who’s had terrible luck all year long finally pushes through for a win.

Aric Almirola coming in to today was 27th in points, looking for a new team this offseason and in a string of terrible luck finally wins today. This race started with full chaos, rain was threatening all day and it showed up at lap 8 of this race. 4 cars spunout, including the race leader Kyle Busch, ruining his day. Then Nascar officials decided to have an hour rain delay, to then resume today’s race around 5:15 this afternoon. Leading to the uncertainty of completing the race before dark, Nascar then shortened the race 10 laps, which then led to the victory for Aric Almirola. This is huge for Almirola, this is Almirola’s first of the 2021 season, but his 3rd of his career.

In my opinion, I was wrong. Heading into this weekend, I thought this race weekend was going to be a lost cause entertainment wise. But I was totally wrong, with rain, wrecks early, playoff drama and an upset alert. As a Nascar fan you can’t ask for much more. This weekend was great, to describe it, it was one of those recipes where you need a little bit of everything in order for it to be good. That was today! In my personal opinion I give today’s action a 8.7 out of 10. Based on today’s action, my opinion of New Hampshire Motor Speedway has changed, the action was great, but some of my answer is persuasive based off of storylines. But I feel like New Hampshire is one of the most hated tracks for no reason. It gets unnecessary hate, so after today, that has to change.

After today’s win Almirola just shook up the playoff

standings, tremendously. He now has secured himself a

playoff spot come September and now is stress free for the

remaining 4 races. Let's take a look at a now and then side

Look at the damage this win has put on the cut line. The Nascar Cup Series will take a two week break from racing, due to the start of the “2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics” kicking off Friday at 7:30pm. Drivers and teams will have the opportunity to debrief for two weeks, then come back to head to Watkins Glen for the “ Go Bowling at The Glen”! This is a 7 turn beast, located in Watkin Glen, Upstate New York. With four races left, we will see who makes the cut! Watkins Glen is Sunday August 8th, 3:00pm only on NBCSN.

Yesterday’s race resulted in a great win for William Byron, but also showed some new faces up front. Here is Yesterday's closing laps. William Byron took the checkered flag to record his second career win and first of this 2021 season. The Nascar Cup Series and also the Truck and Xfinity Series will be back in action six days from now at the For the Pennzoil 400 at 3:30 on FOX. My personal Opinion:  I thought this was a pretty solid race, it definitely didn’t show the balance in the field as people will be looking for next week. But all in all it was a pretty good race but as already known Sunday, Las Vegas is next as week 4 of this Nascar season rolls on heading in to the west coast swing.   Racing in New Hampshire!  The Nascar Cup Series visited New Hampshire Motor Speedway, located in Loudon, New Hampshire, for the Ambetter 301.  In a ground-shaking way, Christopher Bell takes home the checkered flag.  This is Christopher Bell’s 2nd career win, and first of the 2022 season.  Bell is now the 14th different winner in 20 races.  Bell jumps the playoff standings and stamps his ticket to the 2022 Nascar playoffs. (Christopher Bell Burning it down Post-Race) Entering this afternoon in New Hampshire, only three spots were left for the playoffs.  Today, Christopher Bell, at arguably his best track, takes away one of those spots.  Christopher Bell entered this weekend with an up and down stretch after leaving Atlanta Motor Speedway.  Bell’s #20 Joe Gibbs Racing machine, showed up with speed, as that paid dividends this afternoon.  The 27-year-old raced hard today, as he took the lead from Chase Elliott which was eventually for the win.  He was one of the many Toyota drivers to

Homestead-Miami Race Review and Analysis

  The long-awaited return to Homestead-Miami, Florida. After a year and a half, the Nascar Cup Series made its return to Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kyle Larson, in a dominant, and almost perfect afternoon, took home the checkered flag.  This is Larson's 3rd win of the 2022 season and the 19th of his career.  Larson swept both stages 1 and 2.  (Kyle Larson with the Homestead-Miami Trophy) Let’s go through today’s race, John Hunter Nemechek, after running 4th for most of stage 1, spun coming out of turn 1.  This derailed Nemechek’s promising weekend, as he finished 27th.  Chase Briscoe, who is now in a must-win situation, was done for the day by the end of stage 2. After contact with the outside wall, Briscoe’s afternoon was done. Tyler Reddick had a hard hit into the outside wall with 22 laps to go. Reddick, running the outside lane, got loose, and made heavy contact with the inside wall on the back straightaway, coming out of turn 2. Lastly, Kyle Larson spun Martin Truex Jr. on pit
