Image
Road course racing in Texas!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Circuit of the Americas, as Tyler Reddick in dominate fashion took home the checkered flag.  Leading 41 laps, Reddick was the class of the field as he collects his 4th career win, the 3rd of his career on a road course, and the 1st of the 2023 season.  The 27-year old joins Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, William Byron, and Joey Logano as the only drivers locked into the playoffs.  Entering this weekend, riding momuteum, and sustaining it is key heading into the April portion of the schedule.  Reddick headlines the weekend for 23XI Racing, as Kyle Busch slots in 2nd for Richard Childress Racing.  Alex Bowman crosses the line 3rd, as history repeats its self with multiple run-ins at Circuit of the Americas, with Ross Chastain in 4th for Trackhouse Racing.   Navigating the desert, before the sunsets on the West coast swing!  William Byron took home the checkered flag in Phoenix.  With a savvy move, Byron was able to stay consistent and cut away from Kyle Larson, as he rode off to victory.  The 25-year old collects the 6th win of his career, and 2nd of the 2023 season Byron, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Kyle Busch, are the only three drivers locked into the playoffs.  The biggest storyline of the weekend was Nascar’s debut of the new short track, and road course aero package, at Phoenix Raceway this weekend.  After a 50-minute practice, both drivers, and teams emphasized the difference in handling between the car from the championship race in Phoenix in November. (William Byron in Victory Lane in Phoenix) The next-gen car was less stable, and the downforce on each race car was the difference maker in on-track performance this weekend.  That wasn’t the case for Hendrick Motorsports, even with Nascar officials confiscating the new louvers in ad

Rolling the dice, while gambling in Las Vegas,  William Byron took home the checkered flag in the Pennzoil 400.  This is Byron’s 5th career win and his 1st of the 2023 season.  The 25-year old joins Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Kyle Busch as the only three drivers locked into the playoffs.  With an overtime restart and a late pit stop for the leading pack, Martin Truex Jr. decided to stay out instead of taking fresh tires, and fuel.  After leading 176 laps, and sweeping the stages, William Byron was able to surge past Truex Jr., and rode off into the Vegas sunset for the victory.    (William Byron in Victory Lane in Las Vegas) Today’s top running order included some drivers who needed a good finish, after struggling at Daytona and Auto Club. Kyle Larson finishes 2nd, alongside fellow Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman in 3rd.  In a career-best finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Bubba Wallace comes home 4th for 23XI Racing, as the top-finishing Toyota.  Rounding out the top-5 is C
