Las Vegas! The Nascar Cup Series visited Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located in Las Vegas, Nevada for the “ South Point 400”. Denny Hamlin wins tonight collecting his second win of the 2021 season and advancing to the round of 8. There are now 7 spots left for the 3rd round of the 2021 playoffs. ( Denny Hamlin Post Race) Coming into tonight post bristol, a lot unfolded. Playoff drivers racing for points, drivers becoming frustrated and more. But Denny Hamlin won by holding off Chase Elliott tonight. Tires, pit strategy and more played into tonight’s result, but that’s racing. Hendrick MotorSports elected not to pit for tires in the end, costing them a better result. But tonight, Hamlin claims his ticket to the next round, he doesn’t have to worry about the next two weeks at Talladega and the Charlotte Roval. (Denny Hamlin in Victory Lane) In my opinion tonight was ok. The racing itself could have been better as a whole, but that’s racing sometimes. Also, Nascar chose an odd

It’s Bristol Baby! The Nascar Cup Series visited Bristol Motor Speedway, located in Bristol, Tennessee for the “ Bass Pro Shops Night Race”. Kyle Larson wins in a last lap thriller! Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott tangled up in the closing laps handing Kyle Larson the win. This is Larson’s 6th win of 2021 and his first of the 2021 Nascar playoffs. ( A look over Bristol Motor Speedway) Tonight was wild. Wrecks, tempers, playoff drama all unfolded tonight under the lights at Bristol. Tonight was the cutoff race for all drivers, 4 were eliminated and 12 moved on. Kurt Busch, Michael Mcdowell, Aric Amirola and Tyler Reddick were all eliminated after tonight’s race. The margin between drivers and the cutoff line was crazy, two positions separated a driver from advancing to the next round or going home.  ( Larson post race )                  Tonight was must see TV. The race started off a little bit slow. But things towards the end picked up. Driver’s started getting aggressive, patience w

What a night! The Nascar Cup Series visited Richmond Raceway located in Richmond, Virginia, for the “ Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to the First Responders”. Martin Truex wins on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Truex dominated the back half of the race to collect his 4th win of the season and 1st of the 2021 playoffs. With this win, Truex locks himself into the round of 12 and advances to the second round of the 2021 playoffs.                (Truex in Victory Lane) Today was tough for a lot of people. On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, people had heavy hearts throughout today. Nascar showcased a great pre race ceremony paying their respects to the first responders and the lives lost in those attacks. This race was tough for a lot of drivers as well, breaks, tires and pit road issues all made it hard for drivers tonight. Denny Hamlin dominated all night, he won stages 1 and 2. But with late race green flag stops, this put Kyle Busch in the lead, but he was busted for speeding on pit roa

"Darlington Race Review"

What a chaotic finish! The Nascar Cup Series visited Darlington Raceway, located in Darlington, South Carolina for the “ Cookout Southern 500”. Denny Hamlin wins tonight with a last lap thriller against Kyle Larson. Hamlin wins his first race of the 2021 season and the first race of the 2021 nascar playoffs. With this win Hamlin locks himself into the round of 12.  (Denny Hamlin in victory lane) Tonight's race was 4 hours long, this tested drivers, teams and even the broadcasters. Brakes were the issue over time, it was an issue due to the length of the race and the force each driver applied to them. This led to wrecks and a lot of playoff contenders ending their nights early. The NBC broadcasting team switched on and off each stage to limit each other for how much time was spent commentating between stages. This shows you what an over 4 and a half hour race can do to someone. (Denny Hamlin celebrating post race) In my opinion, today’s race was slightly above average. The racing
