" Bristol Race Review"

It’s Bristol Baby! The Nascar Cup Series visited Bristol Motor Speedway, located in Bristol, Tennessee for the “ Bass Pro Shops Night Race”. Kyle Larson wins in a last lap thriller! Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott tangled up in the closing laps handing Kyle Larson the win. This is Larson’s 6th win of 2021 and his first of the 2021 Nascar playoffs.

( A look over Bristol Motor Speedway)

Tonight was wild. Wrecks, tempers, playoff drama all unfolded tonight under the lights at Bristol. Tonight was the cutoff race for all drivers, 4 were eliminated and 12 moved on. Kurt Busch, Michael Mcdowell, Aric Amirola and Tyler Reddick were all eliminated after tonight’s race. The margin between drivers and the cutoff line was crazy, two positions separated a driver from advancing to the next round or going home.

Tonight was must see TV. The race started off a little bit slow. But things towards the end picked up. Driver’s started getting aggressive, patience was starting to decrease between one and another. This is what set tonight up for success. Personally, this is one of the better races I’ve seen this entire 2021 season. Bristol delivered once again and it never disappoints. I think Nascar should keep Bristol Motor Speedway as a first round cutoff race. So overall I’d give tonight’s race a 9.5 out of 10.

Tonight was long for all fans and drivers. This race was 500 laps and four hours long. But, this race was far from disappointing. As we wrap up from Bristol, the round of 12 is here. This is the second round of the 2021 Nascar playoffs. This round, just like the first round, will shrink the playoff field to 8 drivers after these three races. The Nascar Cup Series will head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 26th, then Talladega Superspeedway October 3rd and finally the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval on October 10th.
