" Kansas Race Review"

Racing in the Sunflower state! The Nascar Cup Series visited Kansas Speedway, located in Kansas City, Kansas for the “ Hollywood Casino 400”. Kyle Larson once again in dominating fashion wins today. This is Larson’s 9th win of the 2021 season and 15th of his career. With this win, Larson joins Nascar legend and pioneer Dale Earnhardt Sr. with three straight race wins twice in one season. This will give Larson and his team great momentum heading into the final two races of the 2021 season.

Today was all over the place to say the least. Weather, track conditions, tires issues and playoff drama all factored into today’s race results. This race started around 3:15pm eastern time with rain threatening at the start. After 10 laps, drivers were brought down pit road to a halt as rain hit the area. 30 minutes later the race resumed, leading to a lot of things unfolding. Wreck after wreck continued to happen as the track was changing. At one point during today’s race the temperature outside was once 70 degrees then dropped to 50 degrees in a span of an hour and a half. With this weather change, drivers were forced to adjust their driving style as the afternoon went on.

In my opinion today was above average. The racing was solid and different scenarios made today interesting. Drivers were left disappointed and worried, as Martinsville rolls in. Larson once again dominated and continued his hot streak and his dominance all season long. Overall I’d give today an 8.5 out of 10 as Martinsville is this week.

Racing in Virginia! The Nascar Cup Series will head to Martinsville Speedway, located in Ridgeway, Virginia for the “ Xfinity 500”. This will be a long race as the cutline to the championship race is here. Drivers will be tested and tempers will be flaring all day long. This is an afternoon race that transitions into a sunset under the lights event. As the 2021 season is down to the final two races; tune in Sunday, 2:00pm October 31st on Halloween only on NBC.
