Bristol Race Review and Analysis

  The Bristol night race!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Bristol Motor Speedway, located in Bristol, Tennesse for a showdown.  Christopher Buescher takes home the checkered flag!  This is Buescher’s 2nd career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  Christopher Buescher collects the first win for the newly branded Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing.  RFK Racing now has their first win since July of 2017 at Daytona International Speedway with Ricky Stenhouse Jr.  This is also Chris Buescher’s first win since 2016 at Pocono Raceway.  (Chris Buescher in Victory Lane) Today was wild in Bristol let’s recap what happened.  J.J. Yeley and Harrison Burton had flat tires both on lap 41.  Austin Cindric had a tire issue on lap 63.  Ryan Blaney had a series of issues, that all stemmed from a tire issue on lap 92.  Brad Keselowski was the stage 1 winner for RFK Racing.  Harrison Burton had a second right front tire issue during stage 2.  23XI Racing’s night took a bad turn.  A common theme tonight was the lo

Kansas 2 Race Review and Analysis

  In the heartland once again!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Kansas Speedway, located in Kansas City, Kansas for the Hollywood Casino 400.  Bubba Wallace for 23XI Racing takes home the checkered flag in Kansas.  This is Wallace’s 2nd career win and 1st of the 2022 season.  Wallace collects 23XI Racing”s second win of the season, third win as an organization, and second win at Kansas Speedway this year.  Kurt Busch won at Kansas back in May, Wallace does it here today in September.  Wallace also becomes the 18th different winner this season, although this win doesn’t couldn’t towards the playoffs.  (Bubba Wallace post-race) Let’s go through the playoff field.  Denny Hamlin finishes 2nd for Joe Gibbs Racing, after a long afternoon.  It was a rebound weekend for Hamlin, after a 25th position qualifying effort.  Hamlin sits above the cutline here heading into Bristol.  Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing in an impressive afternoon finishes 3rd.  Bell is the only driver locked in mathemat

2022 Southern 500 From Darlington Race Review and Analysis

  The Crown Jewel, Cookout Southern 500!  Also, how about that Jones boy? The Nascar Cup Series made its prestigious Labor Day weekend visit to Darlington Raceway.  Darlington, South Carolina is where Nascar made its first stop for the 2022 Nascar Cup Series playoffs.   Erik Jones captures the 200th win for the iconic #43 team.   This is Jones’ first win of the 2022 season and 3rd of his career.  Jones captures Nascar's oldest, and one of the most prestigious trophies for the second time in his career.  This is Jones’ 2nd Southern 500 trophy.  This is the first time Petty GMS Motorsports has been to victory lane since July 6th, 2014 with Aric Almirola. He also staples himself as the 17th different winner this season. Although this doesn’t count as a playoff spot win; Jones takes Nascar legend and Petty GMS Co-Owner Richard Petty to victory lane.  Jones plays spoiler, as he takes a race away from each of the 16 competitors running to advance to the Round of 12.
