Martinsville 2 Race Review and Analysis

  The bridge to Phoenix!  The Nascar Cup Series made its great visit to Martinsville Speedway for the final race before the Phoenix championship race.  Christopher Bell walks it off in Martinsville.  Bell punches his ticket to Phoenix and will race for the championship.   (The 200th Win For Joe Gibbs Racing at Martinsville Speedway) Coming into today, everything was going to be on the table.  All means necessary is a way to describe this afternoon.  From strategy to early dominance, to struggles, and a walk-off victory, we saw it all this afternoon in Martinsville.  Christopher Bell collected his 3rd win of the season and 4th of his career.  This is also Joe Gibbs Racing’s 200th win as an organization in the Nascar Cup Series.   Denny Hamlin won stages 1 and 2. BJ Mcleod was done for the day, with issues under the hood. Homestead-Miami Race Review and Analysis

  The long-awaited return to Homestead-Miami, Florida. After a year and a half, the Nascar Cup Series made its return to Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kyle Larson, in a dominant, and almost perfect afternoon, took home the checkered flag.  This is Larson's 3rd win of the 2022 season and the 19th of his career.  Larson swept both stages 1 and 2.  (Kyle Larson with the Homestead-Miami Trophy) Let’s go through today’s race, John Hunter Nemechek, after running 4th for most of stage 1, spun coming out of turn 1.  This derailed Nemechek’s promising weekend, as he finished 27th.  Chase Briscoe, who is now in a must-win situation, was done for the day by the end of stage 2. After contact with the outside wall, Briscoe’s afternoon was done. Tyler Reddick had a hard hit into the outside wall with 22 laps to go. Reddick, running the outside lane, got loose, and made heavy contact with the inside wall on the back straightaway, coming out of turn 2. Lastly, Kyle Larson spun Martin Truex Jr. on pit

Las Vegas 2 Race Review and Analysis

  One final time in Vegas for 2022!  The Nascar Cup Series paid its final visit to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the 2022 season.  Joey Logano, in a dominant weekend, takes home the checkered flag.  Logano locks himself into the Championship 4 and collects his 3rd win of the 2022 season.  Logano also collects his 30th career win.   (Joey Logano, and his #22 Team on Pit Road) Today we saw it all.  We saw Chase Briscoe struggle for most of the day, then almost win in the final 20 laps. The stage 1 winner was Bubba Wallace. Kyle Busch spun in stage 1, followed by a tire issue coming off of the pit road on the final pit stop of the afternoon.  Busch then miraculously came back to finish 3rd. Bubba Wallace got run up into the wall by Kyle Larson while battling for position.  Wallace then retaliated, and spun Larson intentionally in front of the field, on the straightaway. Wallace also displayed his anger with Larson, by pushing him after all had settled.  This move collected Christopher Bell

Charlotte Roval Race Review and Analysis

  Roval drama!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Charlotte Motor Speedway for a cut line showdown.  Christopher Bell in a must-win situation walks it off in Charlotte.  Bell advanced to the round of 8 and collects his 2nd win of the season.  This is also career win number 3 for Christopher Bell.  This is the 199th career win for Joe Gibbs Racing as well.   (Christopher Bell in Victory Lane) Today was the cut-off to make the round of 8.  After 109 laps of Roval madness four drivers' chances of making the next round are no more.  Kyle Larson, the defending 2021 Cup Series champion, will not advance.  Austin Cindric, the 2022 Daytona 500 champion, will not advance.  Alex Bowman, the winner of Las Vegas back in March who missed this weekend due to a concussion, will not advance.  Lastly, the Sonoma winner from June, Daniel Suarez will not advance. Talladega 2 Race Review and Analysis

  Sweet home Alabama!  The Nascar Cup Series visited Talladega Superspeedway for the second race of the Round of 12.  Chase Elliott takes home the checkered flag in Alabama.  This is Elliott’s 5th win of the 2022 season and 18th of his career.  Elliott will have no worries heading into the Charlotte Roval.   Coming into today, non-playoff drivers, have been winning each of the last four races.  Elliott breaks that streak with his 2nd win at Talladega Superspeedway.  Elliott pulled off this win by managing the draft, and the hard pushes coming from behind.  Erik Jones stuck with Chase Elliott for the overtime restart.  Elliott was able to utilize Jones’ push for the lead, and eventually the checkered flag.  Heartbreak strikes for Ryan Blaney, and Michael McDowell.  Blaney was not able to block the outside lane’s momentum, which sealed his chances of a win.  McDowell in one of his circled races on the 2022 schedule just came up short in 3rd place.  Ryan Blaney is in a great position to a
