" Texas Race Review"

Texas! The Nascar Cup Series visited Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas for the  “Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500”. Kyle Larson once again wins collecting his 8th win of the season and 14th of his career. With this win, Larson locks himself into the championship round of 4 in November.

Larson once again dominated today by leading 256 laps out of today’s 334 total. All day long Larson and his team have been efficient, precise and on point throughout this afternoon. Today’s competition wasn’t enough to knock Larson off his hot streak. Once again, this win holds major value over the next two weeks. Over the stretch Larson’s experience will be smooth sailing until Phoenix Raceway on November 7th.

As we conclude from Texas this evening, a lot has unfolded. Wrecks, playoff drama, driver issues and more all unfolded today. As we wait until Kansas on Sunday, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Blaney are all currently over the cutline. Now for drivers with something to worry and think about, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and Brad Keslowski have two attempts left to advance to the next round.

In my opinion today was alright. Wrecks, playoff drama and more fed into today’s result. Texas Motor Speedway is not the best track, but it did produce interesting action today. Massive wrecks stole the show, with 7 restarts in the closing laps today’s results didn’t come easy. Larson was contested on each restart for the race win.  Overall I’d give today an 8 out of 10. But I will be looking forward to Kansas on Sunday.

Racing in the Sunflower state. The Nascar Cup Series will visit Kansas Speedway located in Kansas City, Kansas for the “ Hollywood Casino 400”. This is a 1.5 mile race track with a bunch of wild restarts and entertainment. With two races left after Texas today, these next two races will be ones to watch. We will sit and wait then see what happens with racing in the Sunflower state of Kansas. Tune in Sunday, October 24th 3:00pm only on NBCSN.
